5,000 Children in Louisiana with juvenile arthritis
1 in 3 Louisianans have some form of arthritis
67% Are not currently under a physician’s care for arthritis
49% Are younger than 55 years of age
82 Billion Dollars lost annually to arthritis from the nation’s economy

The Arthritis Advocates of Louisiana is the only non profit based in Louisiana serving the needs of arthritis patients and their families throughout Louisiana.

 

Our Mission

The mission of the Arthritis Alliance of Louisiana is to improve lives through continuing community service, education and support of research for the control and ultimate cure of arthritis and related diseases.

Company Profile

The Arthritis Advocates of Louisiana was formed to provide a large number of community based services to make life with arthritis easier and less painful. These services to make life with arthritis easier and less painful. These services include educational brochures, seminars, self help classes and water and land based exercise classes, medical equipment loaner closet and support groups.

The majority of our funding is received from 2 major sources: the United Way organization and Special Events that we hold during the year. We do from time to time receive personal gifts, donations and memorial bequests. When appropriate we do apply for grants from various foundations to fund specific Arthritis Advocates of Louisiana programs and services.
